Meet
Amanda Bonczkowski
Amanda discovered country dancing after a night out with her sister, who had become a regular at her local line dancing bar. Amanda was never much of a dancer and spent that night on the sidelines. Although, seeing the joy that dance brought her sister inspired a new mission: push out of her comfort zone to share that experience. During a solo adventure to find a local DMV line dance night, Amanda was asked to partner dance for the first time. She fell in love instantly with the community and connection that dance fostered. What started as a goal to keep up during a visit home turned into a dedicated journey to master the craft.
Since then, she has poured herself into refining her movement, traveling to national conventions to compete and learn from the best in the country. Now a versatile instructor, she is proficient in teaching Country Swing and Two-Step as well as enjoys social dancing West Coast Swing, Waltz, Polka, Triple Two, and more. Coming from a background in competitive sports, Amanda approaches dance with a focus on athleticism and the mind-body connection. She understands the discipline it takes to master a skill, and what it feels like to be the person standing off to the side never had danced before. She tailors her instruction for each student, approaching dance with highly technical, granular feedback to level up your competitive edge or work with you to build the confidence and fundamentals to have a fun, relaxed social dance. Amanda is deeply passionate about welcoming new members and making the community feel like home. Don’t hesitate to reach out for a lesson or ask her for a dance!
