About us

Inspira Dance is a nonprofit dedicated to bringing high-quality, sustainable dance programs to students of all backgrounds.

We believe that access to the arts should never be limited by financial resources—and that dance impacts students in a multitude of transformational ways. Studies show dance builds self-confidence, improves attendance and academic performance, supports emotional well-being, and reduces dropout rates.

Inspiring the Next Generation Through Dance

Connecting Communities, Supporting Students

Through partnerships with local businesses, we offer adult dance classes that directly fund our student programs. This allows us to bring dance into schools and community spaces, making it a vibrant part of local culture.

Our mission also extends beyond students—Inspira Dance is committed to creating fun, welcoming spaces for people of all ages to enjoy dance, connect with others, and experience the joy and energy it brings to our local communities. By fostering inclusive environments for everyone, we aim to make dance a source of community engagement, wellness, and celebration.

Our Name, Our Mission

Inspira comes from the Spanish word “Inspirar”—to inspire.

The organization was founded by a public school Spanish teacher who ran Latin dance programs for students, planting the seeds for our focus on youth dance education. While Inspira Dance has grown to serve broader communities and audiences, the original inspiration for our name reflects our roots: inspiring the next generation of dancers and building community through dance.

Our Vision

We aim to sustainably grow dance communities and connect them to schools, ensuring every student has the opportunity to explore, express, and excel through dance—regardless of the resources they have available.
