Stephanie is a local Salsa and Bachata instructor in D.C. and was awarded Best Female Dance Instructor of 2019 by DCBX.

She previously taught with Salsa with Silvia, Bachata Brunch, The Salsa Room (TSR), Interfusion festival, and various other organizations. Stephanie started out as a Ballroom dancer and then fell in love with Bachata while living in the Dominican Republic. She trained in Salsa On2 and Sensual Bachata in Santo Domingo, and then moved to Cali, Colombia and trained in Salsa Caleña, Salsa On1, and Bachata.

Stephanie founded Inspira Dance, a non-profit based on providing dance classes in Title 1 public schools and local community centers. Passionate about dance and its ability to bring different communities together, Stephanie also teaches Bachata and Salsa at gaming, cosplay, and anime festivals. Her organization Geeky Grooves seeks to reach to those not typically in the dance scene by teaching partner dances to video game and anime-remixed songs.
